Effective March 2022

Protocol for Preventing the Spread of COVID 19 – March 1, 2022
Even though we are outside, we want to err on the side of caution/safety.
In order to do this for both our riders and our volunteers/staff, we continue to recommend that both Riders and Volunteers/Staff wear masks during lessons regardless of their vaccination status during times of close contact. This means during tacking and grooming activities, as well as mounting/dismounting and side walking since riders and volunteers are less than 6 ft apart for an extended period of time.
We recognize that this is a personal choice/decision and everyone has to decide based on their own personal beliefs. If any rider or family would prefer that volunteers/staff wear masks during the entire lesson, we would be happy to comply. Please inform us at the beginning of each lesson of your preference.
Protocol for Reporting Symptoms and/or COVID 19
If you have tested positive for COVID 19, immediately contact Louisa Roberts, our Program Coordinator at 505.926.1426. We will notify anyone who has been in close contact with this individual, as defined by the CDC: close contact is someone who was less than 6 feet away from an infected person (laboratory-confirmed or a clinical diagnosis) for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period. We will maintain confidentiality consistent with HIPPA and other applicable federal and state privacy laws.
We will follow CDC and State guidelines for Staff or Volunteers who have tested positive in regard to their return to lessons, as well as for cleaning/disinfecting.
Thank you for adhering to our guidelines and helping us keep everyone safe!
